Why does Jofra return so many days?
New Delhi. To solve concerns about the preparations for Jofra Archer’s Test cricket, England and Wales Cricket Board Director Rob said that the fast bowler could have been brought back even before, but he was given time to get ready for the longest format demands of the game. Jofra has not played any Test since 2021 and was recently included in the England team after participating in a four -day county match for Sussex.
Rob added, “Hopefully in the coming years, we will see the opportunity to prove that claim. These are influential players. You don’t want them to be in other roles. You need a supplementary skills to share the charge. But you have to use them when they can have an impact on the game, and Ben (Stokes) is the best in it.”
Rob further said, “Wood can come after practice, as he did in 2023. He can bowl at a speed of 96 miles per hour, swing the ball and hit the length. We are lucky that he can get into his rhythm from the beginning.”
