Parag Jain is a 1989 batch Punjab cadre IPS.
The Government of India has appointed Parag Jain, a 1989 batch IPS Parag Jain as the new Chief of the country’s intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). His term will be two years. He will replace Ravi Sinha, who is retiring on 30 June.
Pollen has long been associated with RAW. He has worked closely with former RAW chief Samanta Goyal. They are handling the Pakistan Desk. He has worked on important missions like removal of Article 370 and Balakot Aerustriq.
Parag is also the head of the Aviation Research Center (ARC), where he played an important role in the identity of Pakistan’s terrorist camps under Operation Sindoor. Parag Jain has also served as SSP Chandigarh and DIG Ludhiana.
He has played an important role in many anti -terrorism operations while on duty in Punjab. Jain has represented India in Canada-Sri Lanka. During his deployment in Canada, he highlighted the pro -Khalistan network.
Ravi Sinha retiring on June 30
On 30 June 2023, Ravi Sinha, Senior IPS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, was appointed as the new Chief of India’s intelligence agency RAW (Research and Analysis Wing). He replaced the then RAW Chief Samant Kumar Goyal.
Ravi Sinha belongs to Bhojpur district of Bihar. He studied at St. Stephens College, Delhi. Ravi passed the UPSC exam in the year 1988. He received Madhya Pradesh cadre as an Indian Police Service officer.
In the year 2000, the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee established the state of Chhattisgarh by cutting tribal dominated areas of Madhya Pradesh. Then Sinha technically moved into Chhattisgarh cadre.
According to reports, IPS Ravi Sinha is also known as ‘Operation Man’. He is known for working in an intelligence manner.
