A big accident took place on Friday at a meat processing factory in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, in which two laborers lost their lives. The accident took place in a factory located in Talaspur on the outskirts of Aligarh. According to the information, laborers Imran (28) and Asif (25) were cleaning the tank, which was filled with animals.
According to the report of the news agency, the police said that during the cleaning, a laborer started fainting due to poisonous gases and shouted for help. His partner proceeded to save him, but both fell into the tank due to slipping hands.
Other laborers present on the spot took him out and immediately rushed him to the hospital. Both were referred to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital due to critical condition, where both of them died during treatment.
No senior factory officer was present on the spot at the time of the accident. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the relatives of the deceased and the leaders of the local Samajwadi Party reached the spot. After their intervention, there was an agreement on compensation between the factory management and the victim’s family.
Additional District Magistrate (City) of Aligarh Amit Kumar said that the DM has ordered a thorough inquiry into the entire matter. This investigation will be done by a joint team of concerned departments including the Pollution Control Board. Based on the initial report, strict action will be taken if the factory management’s negligence is found. According to police sources, in the post -mortem report, the cause of the death of both the workers has been reported to be drowning. It is being told that this factory belongs to a politician from Agra.
