In Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, news of a major natural disaster came to light on Saturday. In the sewing band area of Barkot tehsil of the district, there has been an incident of severe high rain and cloudburst. After the incident, SDRF, police and revenue department teams have reached the spot and have started in rescue and relief work.
The administration said that due to the incident, the route has been blocked due to debris at two to three places near the sewing band on Yamunotri National Highway (NH-94). The NH department has been informed, so that traffic can be restored by cleaning the road as soon as possible.
This natural disaster has also damaged the cultivable land of many villagers in Kuthanore village of the area. However, it is a matter of relief that till now no loss of loss of life or animal loss has been received and the situation is gradually becoming normal.

Constant rain became a cause of concern
Even after the incident, continuous rains continue in Uttarkashi district since late night, due to which the local administration and disaster management teams are on alert. Surveillance has been increased in sensitive areas and people have been appealed to be vigilant.
