In Ratlam, there has been a stir in the entire state due to the filling of water mixed with water in Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s convoy vehicles. After this incident, strict action has been started on petrol pumps across the state.

In fact, on 26 June, the ‘Shakti Fuel Point’ petrol pump operated by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in Dosigaon, Ratlam, filled diesel in several vehicles of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav’s convoy. According to officials, all the vehicles of the convoy got damaged soon after the fuel was filled, due to which they had to push and take them to the roadside.

After investigation, the Food and Civil Supplies Department took immediate action and took samples and sealed the pump. During this time, the officials seized 5,995 liters of petrol and 10,657 liters of diesel from the station. An FIR was lodged against the pump operator under Section 3 (7) of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955. After this incident, serious questions were raised on the standards of fuel quality in the state.

Minister ordered an inquiry

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Govind Singh Rajput has now ordered a comprehensive investigation campaign on all petrol and diesel stations of the state. He said, “fuel adulteration is a serious issue, which not only affects the performance of vehicles, but can also endanger public safety.” He directed the officials to conduct a thorough investigation in Madhya Pradesh without any exception.
