Boula Bengal from gang rape … Sukant Majumdar, who is locked in lockup overnight, will surround the police stations this evening

West Bengal politics is in spate after gangrape with a student at Law College, South Kolkata. The government has formed a 5 -member SIT to investigate the matter. On the other hand, political allegations and counter-allegations on this sensitive issue and movement on the streets have caught fire. On the other hand, TMC also seems to have a conflict on this issue. MP Mahua Moitra has questioned TMC leader Madan Mitra’s statement.

On Saturday, the BJP staged a strong protest on this issue. Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Dr. Sukanta Majumdar was taken into custody by the police. Mazumdar was detained by the Kolkata police near the Gadiahat intersection during the protest and was taken to the police headquarters in Lalbazar. Along with him, 32 BJP workers were also detained. There was a ruckus all night. Meanwhile, Sukanta Majumdar was released by the Bengal Police on Sunday morning.

Here, BJP has announced a protest in front of police stations across the state. According to BJP, a large number of women and men will participate in this protest this evening.

Ruckus outside the police station after custody

Earlier on Saturday, BJP workers took to the streets in Kolkata and many parts of the state as the news of Sukanta Majumdar was detained on Saturday. Demonstration took place in several districts including Howrah, Bankura, Balurghat. Outside the Lalbazar police station, BJP councilors Meena Devi Purohit, Sojal Ghosh and Vijay Ojha started a sit -in, which was later removed by the police.

Bail signing refusal

Earlier, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar refused to sign the bail conditions of the police. He said, this month I have been brought to Lalbazar four times. Every time I was left by signing the bell bond, but this time I have decided that I will not sign. If needed, I will stay in the police station all night. If I have to be arrested for the women of Bengal, then I am ready. He said that when the state police is sleeping, someone will have to wake up and BJP is doing this work.

‘Unannounced emergency in Mamta government’

Dr. Majumdar accused Kolkata police of leaving fairness and accused of becoming Mamata Banerjee’s ‘private army’. He wrote on X, in West Bengal, there is an undeclared emergency under Mamata Banerjee’s chaotic rule. The police is now being used to intimidate and suppress the opposition. Regardless of arresting, every BJP worker will fight for the honor of the daughters of Bengal.

What action so far in the gang rape case?

The incident took place on 25 June. It is alleged that three people gang -raped a 24 -year -old student at Law College, South Kolkata. After receiving the complaint, the police arrested the accused Manjlan Mishra, Promit Mukherjee and Zaid Ahmed. Apart from this, a college guard has also been detained.

Ruckus in TMC too … Mahua angry over disputed statement

In this entire case, strict action is being claimed by the TMC government, while the dispute within the party seems to be deepening. The statements of TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee and MLA Madan Mitra brought the party into an uncomfortable position.

Madan Mitra said that if the student had taken some friends with her or informed someone, then this incident would not have happened. This incident has sent a message to the girls that if someone calls them when the college is closed, do not go. If that girl had not gone there, then this incident would not have happened. The one who did this dirty work took advantage of the situation. Earlier, MP Kalyan Banerjee had said, if a friend rapes his friend then who will guarantee security? Will there be police in schools? This was done by the students with another student.

TMC MP Mahua Moitra was agitated on these statements and expressed displeasure. He said that people hate women in every party. But Mamta Banerjee’s party is not going to tolerate such leaders. Mahua wrote on X, women’s opposition in the country is spread in all political parties. What makes TMC different, is that we condemn such disgusting statements- no matter what the statement is.

Earlier, TMC officially separated himself from the statements of the two leaders and said that these are their personal views, the party does not agree with it. The party strongly condemns it. These ideas do not indicate the position of the party in any way.

Kalyan Banerjee also questioned TMC’s response and asked, is the party indirectly supporting the leaders who are saving criminals?

Kolkata BJP Protest

BJP constituted a four -member inquiry committee

The BJP has surrounded the Mamta government on this whole matter and formed a four -member inquiry committee from Delhi, which includes Biplab Dev, Manan Mishra, Satyapal Singh and Meenakshi Lekhi. This committee will visit the state and submit a report based on facts to the party high command.

BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition Shuvendu Adhikari said that the principals in colleges are not appointed by the education department, but from Kalighat and Camac Street (Chief Minister and Abhishek Banerjee’s office). He also questioned the college administration. Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal also criticized the government and said, law and order in Bengal has deteriorated. This has worsened due to appeasement politics.

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said, based on the victim’s statement, all those involved in the incident should be arrested. We will see what will be revealed in the investigation. The culprits should be punished. Such inhuman incidents are happening frequently in Bengal. Somehow such incidents are being suppressed.

BJP took out rally …

Under the leadership of BJP state president Sukant Majumdar, he took out a march in Kolkata to protest against the incident. However, the police stopped it. BJP workers were trying to carry out a 3 km long protest march till Law College. The police did not allow the law to move towards the college. The protest march was stopped at Gariahat crossing in South Kolkata. Majumdar and many other BJP leaders were taken into custody. He was taken to Kolkata Police Headquarters in Lalbazar.
