New Delhi. Smriti Mandhana, the star batter of the Indian women’s team, created history on Saturday (June 28). She became the first Indian woman cricketer to score a century in all three formats. This Dhurandhar started the innings for the women’s team against England in Nottingham and scored 112 runs off 62 balls in the first T20 of the five -match series. He hit 15 fours and 3 sixes in his innings and completed the century by hitting a four off Lauren Bell off 51st ball.
Smriti Harmanpreet Kaur, who is playing her 149th match on Saturday, is the second batsman to score a century in T20 for the women’s team. After scoring a century for the first time in T20 career, Smriti said that it took him a long time to score a century. Mandhana said after the match, “It took a long time to score a century. I was used to getting dismissed on a score of 70 and 80. Before the series, I and my team’s companions were talking that now the time has come for me to score a century.”
