Puri rath yatra stampede: After the Puri Rath Yatra stampede, the state government has given a big verdict and transferred the District Collector and SP of Puri. Apart from this, DCP Vishnu husband and commandant Ajay Padhi has been suspended for negligence in duty. Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the families of each deceased devotee. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi apologized to the devotees of Lord Jagannath for a stampede near a temple in Puri on Sunday (29 June 2025). At least three people have died in this incident.
