Water had entered many houses in that area. The students got frightened by the rain water entering the school premises and went to the roof and had to take shelter. The team of Jamshedpur police reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. The help of boats and other resources was taken to evacuate children safely. The police force took out all 162 children safely and handed them over to their families. First aid and food were also provided to the children during the rescue operation.

There was chaos due to increasing water
Suddenly increasing water caused panic among 162 children sleeping there. The children somehow ran on the roof of the school and saved their lives. The school was completely submerged. In the morning, the police was informed about this incident. After which the police took quick action and with the help of the villagers, took out the children trapped on the roof safely.
As soon as the police got the information, the Musabani DSP said that those people came into action and with the help of the villagers, all the children were evacuated safely. Even before this, the Ranchi police rescued many families trapped in the houses in the middle of water in Namkum on June 19.
