In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suspended Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, MLA from Amritsar North for 5 years from the party. He has been accused of indiscipline and walking unlike the party. The decision has been taken by the party’s political affair committee.

Kuwar Vijay Pratap Singh resigned from the post of IG and contested on the AAP ticket in 2022. He was also not seen in the AAP programs to be held in Amritsar. He is originally from Gopalganj district of Bihar.
A few days ago, he made a statement in favor of Bikram Singh Majithia, senior leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). After this suspension, Kunwar wrote on social media, “I enjoy the death in which the whole world is afraid.”
AAP spokesperson Neil Garg is praising the entire Punjab Majithia action, but Kunwar Vijay Pratap has questioned this. When an attempt is being made to eliminate drugs from Punjab, it is not right to raise such questions. It was all out of tolerance.
