Amid signs of internal discord in the Karnataka Congress, in-charge of the state and party general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala will hold separate meetings with all the MLAs on Monday. These meetings have become important because recently many Congress MLAs have expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of their own government. This incident has happened at a time when speculation of leadership change in Karnataka has started again. Cooperative Minister KN Rajanna, in the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah, recently commented on a revolutionary political developments in the state after September.
There is also a discussion of a possible reshuffle in the cabinet in party circles and the change of the state Congress president. On the question of Randeep Surjewala coming to Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar told reporters on Sunday, ‘Yes, he is coming … There will definitely be meetings. He (Surjewala) has directly informed everyone. I have also got the program and I am informing all my MLAs. He confirmed Surjewala’s visit and his face-to-face meetings with party MLAs.

Aland MLA BR Patil recently accused of bribery in the allocation of public housing under the Housing Department. Kagwad MLA Raju Kagi indicated resignation, citing development works and delays in issuing funds, and claimed that the administration in the state had completely collapsed. The ruling Congress is facing embarrassment due to these comments of its own MLAs. Opposition parties BJP and JD (S) have accused the Congress government of committing large -scale corruption and demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Housing Minister Jamir Ahmed Khan.
Siddaramaiah met BR Patil and Raju Kagi after returning from New Delhi on Wednesday and allegedly assured them that their concerns would be resolved. According to reports, the party leadership has asked Siddaramaiah to resolve issues, take MLAs into confidence and ensure that no one makes public statements against the government. Due to the completion of two years of the government, pressure is increasing within the ruling Congress to reshuffle the cabinet. At the same time, under the CM formula of half-term term (two and a half years), DK Shivkumar MLAs are demanding to make him the Chief Minister of the state.

CM Siddaramaiah’s son and Congress MLC Yatindra Siddaramaiah said, “There are repeated statements about the change of leadership because there are some groups who want to become the Chief Minister. They are spreading such rumors. I don’t know who those groups are. The day Siddaramaiah became the Chief Minister, he has received immense support from the high command and this support is going on. Even MLAs are supporting him.
