Iran setback for elon musk: Iran has avenged Donald Trump from Alan Musk. The Iranian Parliament has banned Musk’s satellite internet service Starlink in the country. It is said in Parliament that Starlink was operating in the country without permission and was endangered by the country’s sovereignty.
The Parliament of Iran has passed a law to declare the use of unlicensed electronic communication equipment, including satellite internet service like Starlink. Under this, criminals will have to face jail sentence.
Why is there a monitoring of internet services?
According to news agency ISNA, Starlink was used due to internet restrictions and poor quality service from domestic companies. Iranian authorities now fear that the use of non-dominated mobile internet service can enable alleged Israeli detectives to contact Tel Aviv.
Bill was brought to Iranian Parliament on 23 June
In the Iranian Parliament, this law has been brought in view of 12 days of war with Israel and foreign influence, increasing concerns regarding information control with Israel. During this struggle, such reports came out that despite the internet ban at the time of war, many people were using Starlinks. This increases the threat to national security.
Sentenced to death sentence for sharing intelligence information
‘Increase in punishment for espionage and national security, cooperation with Israeli and hostile countries against interests’ Title’ has 9 articles in this law. It provides for rigorous punishment for a wide range of activities considered to be a threat to national security. Under the new law, there is a provision of death penalty for sharing any intelligence with Israel and other hostile states.
