A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court in the case of gang rape of LLB student in Kolkata. Supreme Court lawyer Satyam Singh filed a petition on Monday (June 30, 2025) demanding a CBI inquiry under the supervision of the court.
It has been said in the petition that investigation should be done within the stipulated time. A demand for security and compensation to the victim has also been demanded in the petition. The petitioner also mentioned the derogatory statements of Trinamool MP Kalyan Banerjee and MLA Madan Mitra about the victim.
