New Delhi. Former England spinner Monty Panesar has questioned Gautam Gambhir’s tenure of India’s head coach, especially about the team’s bowling performance. India aims to equalize the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England in the second Test starting at Edgbaston Stadium from July 2. In the first Test, Team India had to face an embarrassing defeat.
Panesar further said, “I know how to improve the batting, but as a coach, can I choose the team to take 20 wickets? This is his biggest challenge in England, and if he is unable to show it, I think I think BCCI slowly, Test Rate Test, will evaluate them. Then you know what we should do after the end of the series?”
Please tell that Gautam Gambhir took over as the head coach of India after Rahul Dravid’s departure. Under his leadership, India has won only three of the 11 Tests-a 2–0 win against Bangladesh and 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy-resulting in India out of the top two in the 2023–25 World Test Championship session. Shubman Gill -led team is under investigation after losing in the first Test, while the first innings was an edge.
