4 people of Shyamlal Kaushal’s family have also been injured.
The tent collapsed in the Bageshwar Dham complex located in Gada village in Chhatarpur district. One devotee died due to an iron angle head while 8 people were injured in the stampede.

The accident took place at around 7 am on Thursday morning after Aarti. Devotees gathered under the tent to avoid rain. The injured have been admitted to Chhatarpur District Hospital.
Rajesh Kumar Kaushal said that he is a resident of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh. 6 people of the family came to Bageshwar Dham on Wednesday night by car. Friday is the birthday of Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Shastri of Dham. Earlier on Thursday morning, all the people came ready to visit Shastri.
People say that the tent fell due to rain water filling.
Father-in-law’s death, husband-wife and two daughters injured Rajesh told that the iron angle hit his father -in -law Shyamlal Kaushal’s head. He died on the spot. Rajesh, his wife Soumya and daughters- Parul, 8, including Unnati, have been injured.
Police have started investigation by sending the body for postmortem.
Dr. Naresh Tripathi of the district hospital said that a deceased was brought from Bageshwar Dham. The family said that the accident occurred due to the fall of the tent.
Shyamya, daughter of Shyamlal Kaushal, has complained to the police.
Eyewitness said- shed I filled rain water Eyewitness Aryan told- We were all standing near the stage, it was raining. He came to the tent to avoid water. The tent fell down due to water filling. This caused a stampede. About 20 people were buried under the tent. Bamitha police station in-charge Ashutosh Shrotriya said-
The tent fell from the wind and water in Bageshwar Dham. The case is being investigated.
