A very embarrassing picture of government health system has come out from Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. In the district hospital Mahoba, a TB patient was not only admitted to the normal ward, but was also seen injecting himself for his treatment. As soon as the video of this incident went viral, there has been a stir in the health department. In the viral video, it can be seen that a young man hospitalized is injecting himself with his hand.
A case has come up from Mahoba district of Bundelkhand in UP, which has revealed the ground reality of the health system. In the district hospital, a TB (tuberculosis) patient was kept in the normal ward instead of admitted to the TB ward. Not only this, he was also seen injecting with his hand. Its video is viral on social media, which has put the health department in the dock.

The young man seen in the viral video is a TB patient. In the video, he is seen injecting himself in ward number-1 of the hospital. This injection is used in the treatment of TB and it should be given to the patient under the supervision of a trained health worker, but neither doctors are present here nor nurses. The patient injects themselves, which has increased the risk of infection further.

There is also a big lapse that the patient was admitted to the general ward number-1, not keeping the TB ward, where already patients and young children suffering from other diseases are admitted for treatment. TB is an infectious disease, which spreads through the air. In such a situation, keeping this patient in the normal ward is expected to be infected by dozens of other patients and Timardars.
After the video went viral, there was an atmosphere of panic in the ward. Sunita Shukla, an patient admitted in the ward, said that when we complained to the hospital administration, no one paid any attention. He told that we said many times that TB patients should not be kept among us, but no action was taken. At the same time, other patients Abhilasha and Rinku said that they were informed about the video of the patient admitted on the nearby bed after the video went viral. Since then we are all scared and feeling insecure in the hospital.

This is not the first time that Mahoba District Hospital is accused of negligence. In the past too, there have been reports of treatment, non -availability of doctors and abuse from patients, but this time the matter is serious. People say that the hospital administration is openly playing with the lives of patients.
After this whole incident, the question arises that why the hospital administration kept the TB patient in the normal ward? Is there not separate wards available in the hospital? Is there such a shortage of staff that the patient had to inject himself? Or is all this the result of ignoring the responsible officials? When the matter was talked to Dr. Pawan Aggarwal, Chief Medical Superintendent of the District Hospital, he has given a round of investigation and asked for investigation.
