An hour -long phone call was made between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump on Thursday. During this, Putin clearly said that Russia will not back down from its goal in Ukraine, but he is ready to continue the conversation. This talks took place at a time when the US has suddenly banned the supply of arms being given to Ukraine.

According to Kremlin, Putin said on the phone that Russia will achieve its declared strategic goals in Ukraine under any circumstances. His gesture was towards the root causes, due to which this war started. Putin said- Russia will not back down from its objectives, but we are ready for talks.
Putin’s assistant Yuri Ushakov said that there was a conversation between the two leaders for 1 hour. In addition to talks with Russia and Ukraine, there was talk on Iran and Israeli issues. According to the report published in Reuters, the two leaders kept talking on solution about Ukraine. Trump raised the issue of stopping the Ukraine struggle rapidly. So Putin also expressed his intention to find solutions through talks.

America suddenly stopped arms supply
The Trump administration stopped the supply of artillery and air security systems to Ukraine earlier this week. It includes 155mm Artillery Shell and Patriot missile system. The US says that this step has been taken after reviewing their decreasing arms reserves.
