The MP/MLA court has acquitted former MP and Bahubali leader Dhananjay Singh while delivering the verdict in the Belav double murder case of Jaunpur. Judge Mo Shariq Siddiqui has acquitted 4 people including Dhananjay Singh, giving the verdict.
On the court’s decision, former MP Dhananjay Singh said in a conversation with the media that he had full hope that he would get justice from the judiciary. Because, the case was completely political motivated. At that time I was an MP from BSP and went to jail to meet Amar Singh. After that I was expelled from the party. I was prevented from coming to the district and section 144 was also imposed.
He said that there was a murder around January-February 2010, in which my name was included in November 2011. I did not apologize in the party, due to which all this happened. Once, CB-CID reports were reported in it, then it was again reported by CB-CID. It took 15 years but finally got justice.
Giving information, Dhananjay Singh’s advocate Umesh Shukla said that there was a double murder in Belav Ghat in 2010. It was discussed by three officers. A year and a half later, Dhananjay Singh, Ashutosh Singh, Sunit Singh and Puneet Singh were charged in this case. But there was no evidence in this matter. 20 witnesses were presented in this case but no one supported him. The trial lasted for about 15 years. Shukla said that this case was fully political implicated.
