Flight number AI-171 flew on June 12 at 1.38 pm and the accident occurred at 1.40 pm. At that time the plane was at an altitude of 625 feet.
The family of passengers who lost their lives in the Air India aircraft accident on June 12 in Ahmedabad have accused the airline of saving compensation. Britain’s legal firm Stewarts says that Air India sought legally sensitive financial information from the families before giving compensation, which could reduce their rights.
Stewarts is fighting a case of more than 40 victims of families. Advocate Peter Ninean, the firm, said that Air India is treating the families of the victims immoral and derogatory.
Peter Ninean says that Air India can try to save about Rs 1,050 crore by behaving in this way. He has also demanded an inquiry into the case. At the same time, he has advised his clients not to fill the form and take a legal path to get compensation.
AI has denied all these allegations, saying that these claims are wrong and baseless. The airline said in a statement to India Today that the form is only to confirm family relations, so that compensation reaches the right person.
Ninen said- Air India did not provide any legal assistance to the family
Ninean alleged that neither a family was already informed, nor did he get legal advice nor a copy of these documents. Air India officials pressured some family to fill the form and went to their house and asked why the forms were not filled.
Ninean’s charge- Airline filled the form by lying to the family
Ninean said that the family was told that they would not get any compensation until they fill the form. Whereas according to international law, the airline has to give immediate interim compensation after the identity and signing of the receipt, no form is required.
Air India Boli- We tried to simplify the form
At the same time, Air India called the allegations wrong and baseless and said that they are taking these allegations very seriously. We have tried to simplify the form as much as possible so that the compensation reaches the right person quickly and correctly.
The airline also said that they have already started giving interim compensation to some families and they are helping all the families. Airline spokesperson said, “Some formal processes are necessary, but we are giving full time and convenience to the families.”
Air India resigns from 4 employees for partying
Air India has asked 4 employees of its ground handling venture AISATS to resign. This action was taken after the video of one of his party went viral. These employees had this party 8 days after the Ahmedabad plane accident.

The viral video has the behavior of the employees, it is against our company’s policy. We have taken strict disciplinary action against the responsible people.
