College guard Pinaki Banerjee’s custody is ending today.

The Kolkata Police on Friday recreated the crime scene in connection with the investigation of gang rape from Law College Student. The police reached South Calcutta Law College with the four accused arrested.

The three main accused Monojo Mishra, current students Pramit Mukherjee and Jab Ahmed and security guard Pinaki Banerjee were taken to the college at around 4.30 am. It took about four hours to complete this process.

After this, everyone was brought back to the police station. The police officer said that the results that have been received will now be investigated from the allegations of the woman and the rest will be confirmed with the evidence.

Security guard Pinaki will be produced in court later in the afternoon as his police remand is till 4 July. The case is currently being investigated by the Detective Department of Kolkata Police.

The incident took place on 25 June at South Calcutta Law College in the town of West Bengal capital. 5 days later, on 30 June, Kolkata Police arrested three main accused in less than 12 hours.

The main accused Manjit Mishra has been sent to custody by Alipur court till 8 July. Where he is being questioned.

Order of Calcutta High Court- Students union office remains closed till election

The Calcutta High Court on Thursday ordered the closure of student union offices in all the colleges and universities in Bengal. The bench of Justice Saumen Sen and Justice Smita Das Dey said that these rooms will remain closed till the students are held. The court said that such rooms cannot be used for any work. If needed, the university registrar will have to apply with valid reasons.

CCTV and medical report confirmed gang rape

The CCTV of the college has about 7 hours footage from 3:30 pm to 10:50 pm on June 25. An investigating officer said that the incident of forcibly taking the victim student in the guard room in CCTV has been captured. This confirms the allegations made in the written complaint of the student.

On June 28, the medical report of the victim student was also confirmed the rape. According to the police, there have been marks of forcing the victim, cutting the body and scratching from the nail. He has also confirmed the assault.
