On July 2, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari claimed this in a social media post. In the post, the project provides direct access and controlled connectivity between Delhi-Vadodara Expressway and Jaipur. The travel time between expressway to Delhi-Jaipur is expected to be reduced from 3 hours 45 minutes to just 3 hours.
After this, on July 2, NHAI opened the Dausa-Bandikui Green Field Expressway from Jaipur to the common people for the next 10 days on a trial base at 8 am.
On Thursday, Bhaskar did the reality check of the claims being made about the expressway. Read the full report…
The Bhaskar team reached the interchange of this expressway’s starting point Bagrana village in Jaipur at 8 am. There was a big sign board here, on which Delhi was written.
Here we saw that many local bikers were continuously coming from the Rong side not only coming from this expressway but also going to the expressway at a free speed.
However, two representatives of the construction company were also standing here. Seeing us making photos and videos, the two company representatives wanted to stop the bikers from climbing and landing on the expressway, but could not stop.
The reporter spoke to company representative Ramhans. He informed- tractors, bikes and autos, etc. are not allowed to run on the new expressway. We are stopping such vehicles here. People are coming from here due to filling water on the paths adjoining the expressway and harvesting somewhere. We are constantly stopping them. Soon it will be completely banned.
After this we move forward. There was a toll booth in front of us here. However, it was completely free. The vehicles were continuously leaving from here after the entry. We set our timer on zero here and started the journey from Jaipur to Delhi.
First : There is an 85 km journey from Agra Road to Dausa to Bandikui. The journey used to take more than one and a half hours.
Now : In the journey of this new expressway, we reached the end of Bandikui Expressway by traveling 67 km from Baghrana Interchange in just 39 minutes 43 seconds. The car speed ranged from 100 to 120 km per hour.
Specialty: The design of the expressway is such that even in such speed, tremors are not felt. However, where the bridges come, there are small joints. While climbing the train bridge, there is definitely a feeling of mild tremors.
Goats were seen running on the expressway.
Facing many flaws in the journey Many bikers and vehicles were seen coming from the Rong side. Dogs and goats were also roaming on the expressway. Apart from this, work was also going on everywhere.
A dead animal was found in the middle of the expressway before Dulagarh. He was trampled by a vehicle. Traffic on Dausa and Manoharpur Interchange Road was closed.
The LCD screens of the expressway were also found poor in many places. CCTV cameras were also closed at some places.
Not a single petrol pump or rest area was found on the Jaipur-Bandikui Expressway with 67 km distance. Due to this, some unknown truck drivers were upset and were seen questioning people.
Access was seen open towards the highway in many places from the fields adjoining the expressway. At present, there was not much traffic on the road.
During the journey, there was heavy rain for some time and visibility was reduced significantly. Despite this, there was no waterlogging situation anywhere on the road.
After this, the Bhaskar team again reached Bagrana Interchange Point at 7 pm. Started the journey to non -stop Delhi from here. Our timer and journey started at 7.15 pm.
During this time, traffic on the highway was increased. 21 minutes and 59 seconds later we reached Dausa and Manoharpura’s interchange. This time we reached the end of the Bandikui Expressway in 38 minutes 31 seconds to the link road of the New Delhi Expressway.
After this, we were 51 minutes and 24 seconds in the journey of 201 km from Delhi. After 2 hours 20 minutes, we crossed the exit point of the expressway in Sohna, Haryana.
Here our car cut 130 rupees toll. Exit on this expressway is toll. The entry point does not seem toll.
After this, traffic increased from here. Our average speed was also 80 km per hour. After 3 hours and 13 minutes, we reached Delhi’s entry point at 10 to 14 minutes. Here we also got MCD’s entry toll cut.
Despite the ban, people take the bike and come from the Rong side on the expressway.
CCTV every 500 meters During this entire journey, we saw and tested all the things like rest area on this expressway to security, emergency, food, facility.
CCTVs have been installed every 500 meters on the highway. With this, you will go anywhere in the eyes of cameras. The entire record of the car will be present.
During the journey, we did not see breakers anywhere on the entire highway. This did not make the hassle of changing the gear again and again. This gives mileage good. Fuel saves.
The expressway has been made quite high. Barricading has been done on both sides of the highway so that stray animals do not come on the road. Since the Bandikui Expressway, we did not even see any animal.
Now in the third part, we started the journey from New Delhi to Jaipur to check the reality of the expressway in the day traffic again on July 4 the next day.
On July 4, at exactly 12:30 pm, we reached the MCD Entry Point. At 12.34 minutes, he started the timer again and started his journey to Jaipur. This time it took us 3 hours 19 minutes to reach Bagrana Interchange Exit Point in Jaipur from here. We reached here exactly 3:53 minutes.
This time in the journey, we had to reduce the speed due to heavy rains and low visibility in many places. At the same time, there was also a traffic jam between Delhi to Sohna. However, traffic on this expressway was less in the day compared to the last night.
Project Director said- Seeking places for rest area and petrol pump Bhaskar spoke to NHAI Project Director Bharat Singh Joian. He says- The trial has been started at the moment. Still, many local people are not allowed to install boundary walls on the side of the expressway and to stop unwanted access. For this, we have written a letter to Dausa and Jaipur Collector. We are currently looking for rest areas and petrol pump locations on this expressway. During this time, the Rapid Response Team of NHAI has been deployed to help the drivers passing through it. LCD screens, lights and CCTV cameras also fix the technical team immediately when there are problems due to network and weather. Dausa and Manoharpur interchange had caused soil erosion due to rain. It has now been fixed. Both have started interchange.
