Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar described the Indian election system as constitutional and transparent. Responding to the questions arising about the revision work of voter lists before the Bihar elections, the Chief Election Commissioner said that the preparations for Bihar elections have started 4 months ago.
The Chief Election Commissioner said that the most important voters for the Election Commission are and then political parties. The questions that are being raised about preparing the list before Bihar elections are baseless. A meeting with political parties of the state has been held before the election. About 5000 meetings have been held so far, in which more than 28000 national political parties and regional political parties have participated.
No voter’s name will be cut in Bihar
Regarding the removal of the names of voters living in the Kosi river area of ​​Bihar and the matter of constantly raising questions on the Election Commission on behalf of the opposition parties, the Chief Election Commissioner said that whatever order is issued by the Election Commission, it should be read first and then it is better. No voter in Bihar will be removed from the voter list.
He said that whatever voter is in the voter list of 2003 assembly elections in Bihar, they will be considered a eligible voter under Section 326 of the Constitution. He cited the solution of the problem of people living in flooded areas in the area of ​​Kosi river and said that no form of any form will be sought from whatever voters are in the 2003 list. Also, no documents of their children are being sought as evidence.
Voter list work will be completed in such a time
Gyanesh Kumar said that in 2002, the way the intensive revision of the voter list of Bihar state was done, in this way, this time also the inspection work of the voter list is being done again from 31 days i.e. 24 June to 15 July. Its time limit is 31 days. The work of voter list will be completed in the same time.
