Within the last 24 hours in Bihar, at least 7 people lost their lives in two different incidents, which has caused sensation in the entire state. On the one hand, in Purnia district, five people of the same family were killed and the body was burnt on suspicion of witchcraft. On the other hand, in Nalanda district, mutual quarrels of children took violent form and two people died in firing.

Five people murdered in suspicion of witchcraft in Purnia

A heartbreaking incident came to light on Sunday night in TEMA village of Purnia district. The villagers first killed five people of the same family on suspicion of witchcraft. Then took their bodies to the bushes and set them alive. Police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. DIG Pramod Kumar Mandal of Purnia Range said that, preliminary investigation has revealed that some people of the village suspected that this family should do Tantra-Mantra, which is why they were killed and burnt.

The police have arrested two accused, while raids are going on in search of others. Forensic team and dog squad have also been called at the scene. The process of identification of the dead is going on.

Nalanda- Fight in children’s game, bullets, 2 killed

The second incident is from Dumrawan village in Nalanda district. Here on Sunday night, the dispute between the two families over the fight between the children increased so much that there was a shootout. In this shootout, 22 -year -old Annu Kumari and 24 -year -old Himanshu Kumar died on the spot.

Nalanda’s deputy SP Ram Dular Prasad informed that there was a debate between the two sides first and then weapons came out. As soon as the police received the information, the team reached the spot and the injured were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The bodies of the dead have been sent for post -mortem and investigation has been started by registering a case.

Uproar in hospital

After the incident, the relatives of the deceased demonstrated outside the hospital and alleged that there is a huge shortage of medical facilities in the emergency. The police pacified the people and assured to take appropriate action. At present, the police investigation is going on and teams are active for the arrest of the accused.

Murdered in Muzaffarpur and Patna

In Muzaffarpur, a government engineer was allegedly stabbed to death by robbers in front of his family, while a 50 -year -old businessman was shot dead in Patna. Police said that Junior Engineer Mohammad Mumtaz was stabbed to death at his house at around 3 am in Madipur in Muzaffarpur district. In Patna, businessman Ajit Kumar was shot dead in Khagaul area on Sunday night. SP City (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh said, the case has been registered and investigation is on.
