A case of rape of a student has come to light on Saturday in the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kolkata. The accused has been arrested.

According to the police, the incident took place on Friday at the Boys Hostel of Business School. The accused student was taken into custody on Friday night, arrested.

The victim has stated in the FIR that he was called a hostel for a counseling session. There she drank a drink, causing her to faint. On coming to his senses, it was found that he was raped.

The victim alleged that the accused had threatened him that if he told this to anyone, he would have to face serious consequences.

Earlier, a student was gangraped on 25 June at South Kolkata Law College.
