Bandi sanjay kumar on tirupati employee: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Sanjay Kumar, during his visit to Tirumala on Friday (July 11, 2025), strongly objected to the job of non-Hindus in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD).
In a conversation with the media after offering prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple, he questioned that how can non-Hindus be given jobs in TDD? Why are they being kept even after changing the government and administration? What action is being taken when more than a thousand non-Hindus are working in TTD? They should be removed from their posts immediately.
There is no faith in Hindu gods, why are you working: Sanjay Kumar
He said that TTD should allocate funds for temples, especially for temples that cannot even afford basic rituals like incense-lamp-navaidyam. He said that it is unacceptable that despite not having faith in non-Hindu, Hinduism or deity, they are working in TTD.
He said that mosques or churches will ever give a Hindu job to put a Hindu (vaccine on the forehead)? No, they do not do this, then why are non-Hindus being given jobs in TTD? Even after changing the government, it is not right to continue this practice. I strongly demand them to remove them immediately.
‘Demand for immediate construction of Venkateswara Swamy Temple’
The Union Minister demanded immediate steps from TTD regarding the plight of temples in Telugu speaking states. He said that many ancient and small temples are also struggling for daily rituals. TTD should identify such temples and allocate funds on a war footing for their renovation and development.
He also demanded immediate construction of Shri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Karimnagar, whose foundation has already been laid. He also called for allocating special funds for Ilundkunta Ram Temple and Kondagattu Anjaneya Swamy Temple.
