A sensational case of love jihad has come to light in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. A 30 -year -old woman here was implicated by a man in his trap by becoming a Hindu. Made a physical relationship with her by pretending to marry. Money was cheated. When the woman got suspicious, she lodged a complaint with the police station. After knowing the truth that came out in the police investigation, the ground slipped under the woman’s feet.
In fact, the woman told the police in her complaint that a person named Samar Singh was met online a year ago. The conversation between the two gradually turned into a close. On April 11, he restored contact, after which the accused called the woman to a hotel in Lucknow. Made physical relations with him there. The accused continued to do all this by pretending to marry.
Meanwhile, 1.5 lakh rupees were also cheated in installments from the victim woman. After this, the sister and brother -in -law of the accused also took gold jewelry from the victim, calling themselves Hindus. The woman started doubting the antics of the accused and her family members. He understood that he is being cheated. He immediately lodged his complaint at the Kotwali police station in Barabanki. After this, police investigation was started.
What was revealed in the investigation shocked the police too .. It was found that Samar Singh’s real name is Zeeshan. He is a resident of Prayagraj. The investigation also revealed that the accused not only used the fake name, but the matter became more serious when the police came to know that it could be a part of a possible fraud racket. Many people can attend this racket.
RK Rana, SHO of Kotwali police station, said that a case has been registered against the three accused under Section 69 (deceitful sex), section 318 (2) (fraud), and section 61 (2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Code. Along with this, sections of the Religion Compression Prohibition Act have also been added against the law of Uttar Pradesh. This is called ‘Love Jihad Law’ in common language.
Police has arrested three people of the same family so far in this case. It includes the main accused Zeeshan along with his sister Shivli Khan (34) and brother -in -law Nadeem Qureshi (36). The three are accused of not only breaking her trust, but also cheating the woman in a bluff. The mobile phones of the three accused have been confiscated. Digital evidence is being investigated.
He also informed that soon the charge sheet will be prepared and filed in the court. Let us tell you that ‘Love Jihad’ is used when a Muslim youth is accused of implicating a Hindu girl for the purpose of love, marriage and then religion. However, this law and its interpretation is still a matter of debate at the court and administrative level.
