Majithia says that he has been a former minister and MLA and should be placed in the “Orange category”. Therefore, they should be kept separate from prisoners who are under trials or who have been punished.
The court, while hearing this petition, has sent a notice to the government and the next hearing has been fixed on Monday. At present, Majithia will remain in judicial custody till 19 July.
Class to install CCTV cameras
Earlier, when he was sent to New Nabha Jail, it was claimed by the Punjab government that CCTV cameras have been installed in the barrack of Majithia, so that their safety does not make any kind of play. At the same time, the government had made it clear that Majithia will be provided facilities in jail just like normal prisoners. They will not get VIP facilities in any way.
Have been in jail before
During the Congress government in the year 2021, a case related to drug smuggling was registered against Bikram Singh Majithia. He surrendered after the 2022 assembly elections, after which the court sent him to Patiala Jail. He stayed there for about six months, but during that time he did not give any petition like changing the barrack.
Now that a case of disproportionate assets is going on against him, the Vigilance Department has intensified the investigation. The team has brought all the records of documents related to Gorakhpur. This record is of more than 10,000 pages.

What happened so far in the case registered on Majithia
1. Mohali case registered, arrested from Amritsar
The Vigilance Bureau registered a case in the case of disproportionate assets case at 4:30 in the morning of Rs 540 crore. After this, raids were conducted at 26 places in the state at Majithia. Then after 11:30 in the morning, Majithia was arrested from his house in Amritsar.
During this period, 29 mobile phones, 5 laptops, 3 iPads, 2 desktops, 8 diaries and other documents were claimed to be recovered. It was claimed that she met Majithia. 2. Court sent on seven days remand
On 26 June, the Vigilance Bureau produced Majithia in the Mohali court. However, during this time Vigilance did not allow Majithia to come in front of the media. For the first time, 4 gates were closed and the general public was stopped till two o’clock and Majithia was introduced. Police of 3 districts deployed there. At the same time, Akali workers who reached there were detained. During this, Vigilance sought 12 days remand in the court, but he got only 7 days. 3. DGP of 2022 made statements On 27 June, former DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay entered the case. He reached the Punjab Police office in Chandigarh and got his statements recorded. He said that in 2021, when he was posted as DGP, a case of NDPS was registered on Majithia. 4. Statement of former ED director
On June 28, former Deputy Director of ED Niranjan Singh reached the Vigilance Headquarters and got the statement recorded. He said that in 2013, when the money laundering case related to drug smuggling was investigated, he questioned about 41 people. At that time, Jagdish Bhola, accused in the drug smuggling case, was named Majithia in the statement. I have told all Vigilance. Now vigilance can ask for this statement from ED.
5. Former Akali MLA gave statement On June 29, former MLA Boney Ajnala reached the Vigilance Office and got the statement recorded. He said that he had written the letter he wrote to the then CM Prakash Singh Badal and DGP in 2013. He claimed that Bikram Majithia had introduced the power related to drug addicts and Pindi at his house, calling him his jiggari man. On the same day, in the evening, former Majithia PA and Aam Aadmi Party leader Dalbir Gill got his statements recorded. He said that he has told all his information to Vigilance.
6. Vigilance took Shimla
On June 30, the Vigilance Bureau teams took Majithia to the spotlight of suspected property at various places in Punjab and Himachal. Vigilance alleges that Majithia did not cooperate in the investigation, which he has been difficult. Maninder Singh alias Bittu and Jagjit Singh Chahal have recorded their statements.
He said that till 2010 he had good relations with Majithia. At the same time, he said that the drug case should also be investigated again. On the other hand, former CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that he is also ready to record Vigilance against Majithia. 7. NCB sought records
On July 2, it was revealed that NCB will also investigate the matter. NCB has sought a record of case from Punjab Vigilance Bureau. The Punjab government opposed this and said that by doing this the central government is trying to save its old partner party leader Bikram Singh Majithia.
Apart from this, apart from Punjab, Majithia was raided simultaneously in Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh. Police went to Amritsar with Majithia. At the same time, Majithia has filed a petition challenging remand in the High Court.
8. Counting property in Delhi and Shimla
On July 2, Vigilance presented Majithia in the Mohali court after the seven -day remand ended. Vigilance said that Majithia is not cooperating in the investigation. Shimla’s property is very little mentioned in paper, but it is a very large part. There is a farmhouse named ‘Sainik Farm’ in Delhi.
It was first auctioned but was later purchased by Majithia’s father. It was purchased when Majithia was a minister in the Punjab government. A society named ‘Green Avenue’ has been developed in Jalandhar, with a 25% stake of Majithia’s wife. At the same time, the current price of military farm has been estimated to be hundreds of crores. On July 3, a petition filed on his remand remand and arrest filed by the lawyers of Bikram Singh Majithia. But the hearing was postponed up to fourth due to non -order remand order.
10 High Court puts the eight date
The hearing was held in the High Court on July 4. During this time, government lawyers told that the lawyers of Majithia had put an application, it was not correct, so they had withdrawn the petition. On the other hand, the lawyers of Majithia said that a fresh remand order had reached the court.
11, Vigilance team reached UP
The first remand order was written on 6 June, while on the second July 6. After this, the court, in view of all the facts, held the next hearing of the case till July 8. On this day, the Mohali court ordered Shimla and Delhi Police to cooperate in the investigation. After this, on June 6, the Mohali court sent him to New Nabha Jail on judicial remand when the remand was over. The next hearing of the case is fixed on 19 July.
Hearing on July 27 in 12 High Court
Majithia lawyers have filed a petition challenging remand and arrest in the High Court. Majithia lawyers sought three weeks time to amend the petition challenging the arrest, which has been accepted by the High Court. The next hearing will be held on 29 July.
