Saraswati Devi Temple of Basara located in Nirmal district of Telangana not only holds spiritual significance, but the state government is taking fast steps towards developing it as a major tourist destination. The government’s goal is to make this holy site attractive to devotees and tourists by equipping this holy site with modern facilities.
The Telangana government is committed to develop the Basara temple as a spiritual and tourist center on the lines of Yaddri. For the convenience of devotees in the temple premises, 100 rooms have been renewed and the new Executive Officer (EVO) building has been inaugurated at a cost of Rs 3.48 crore. Apart from this, a budget of Rs 40 lakh and additional Rs 1 crore has been allocated for toilets and other facilities. This will ensure that devotees coming from Telugu states, Maharashtra and Karnataka do not face any inconvenience.
Big steps to promote tourism
Along with the development of the temple, the government is also paying attention to the educational progress of the region. Basara plans to further improve the Rajiv Gandhi University Knowledge Technology (RGUKT). This university will provide modern technology and high quality education to students. The government aims to get jobs in the leading institutions of the country and increase the reputation of the university.
To promote tourism, the government is insisting on making Basara an attractive destination. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, it is being developed as a tourist center, maintaining the spirituality of the region. Special security and development arrangements will be made for events like Godavari Pushkaram. Along with this, steps are also being taken to organize Samakka-Saralamma Jatara, so that devotees can get all facilities.
Recruitment of 10 thousand teachers in the state
The government is also active in the field of education and employment. 10 thousand teachers have been recruited across the state and integrated schools will be established in Nirmal district. Apart from this, proposals are being prepared to ensure job safety and minimum wages for the welfare of workers. The government is committed to allocating more funds in education, employment and medical fields.
Regular Executive Officer and essential employees will be appointed soon for the development of Basara temple. All security measures will be taken to prevent accidents at Godavari Pushkara Ghat along with modern facilities in the temple premises. This initiative of the government will not only increase the spirituality of Basara, but will also establish it as a major tourism and educational center.
