All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has once again questioned the Election Commission of India regarding Special Voter Revision (SIR) in Bihar. Along with this, he has also accused the Election Commission of harassing the poor people.
Actually, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has posted a post on social media platform X on Sunday (July 13, 2025). In her post, Owaisi said, “It is a very embarrassing thing that a constitutional body (Election Commission) is communicating with the people through sources.” He said, “The Election Commission of India should completely clarify who gave it the right to determine the citizenship of the voters.”
Special voter revision work being done before important elections
Asaduddin Owaisi said, “One, this particular and intensive revision work is being done just before a very important election. For which suddenly the poor people are being forced to bring such documents, which they probably will not have. In such a situation, the purpose of this special step seems to be only an attempt to make the poor people more helpless.”

It is noteworthy that during the ongoing special voter revision (SIR) in Bihar, booth level officers (BLO) are going door-to-door survey. At the same time, during the survey of BLO, a large number of people who came from Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar have come to light. It is also being said that proper investigation and action will be taken on the matters of people with foreign citizenship after August 1, 2025 and after that the names of all these people will not be included in the last voter list to be published on 30 September 2025.
