In the holy month of Sawan, where the entire North India is painted in the color of the Kandar Yatra, the special Kavad Yatra called “Operation Sindoor” is drawing the attention of the people, linking the journey of this religious faith with patriotism. This group of 6 youths from Delhi have left for Delhi with Ganga water in memory of those killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
The specialty of this Kavad Yatra is that there is a replica of Air Force jawan and BSF jawan on the other side in Kavad adorned with Ganga water brought in it. Both are decorated in the army uniform and gives a clear message waving the tricolor with them, Kavad is not just water, a symbol of reverence and respect.
Kanwari Anubhav said, “I have been bringing Kavad for the last 14 years, but this time I thought it should be dedicated to the brothers of the army, through Operation Sindoor we want to convey the message that our army is engaged in our security day and night, we should also do something for them.”
Another Kanwariya Ajay said, ‘In memory of those who were martyred in Pahalgam, we are going to Delhi with this kanvad, we want to give the message that the army is posted on the border for us, then we should also show dedication to them.’
Through Operation Sindoor, these youth have not only paid tribute to the martyrs, but have also given a new direction to respect and support towards the army in the society, their journey from Haridwar to Delhi has become not only religious but also an inspiration for patriotism.
