The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has removed the new textbook of Social Science of Class 8 ** Mughal rulers and some controversial parts related to the cruelty of Delhi Sultanate. NCERT says that the justification for including them is explained in “Comment on some dark periods of history” and a chapter of the book also includes a warning that “no one should be held responsible for the events of the past today.”

What did NCERT remove Babur’s autobiography
In the autobiography of the first Mughal Emperor Babur, he has been described by cultured and intellectually curious, but the book of NCERT describes him as a cruel and ruthless winner, who slaughtered the entire population of cities, enslaved women and children and killed people of corrupt cities. Where non-Muslims were called “Kafir”, that too has been removed from books.
