The inhumanity of the Harpalpur police was seen late on Sunday evening on the Jhansi-Mirzapur highway passing through Harpalpur in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, when a young man going to Delhi was crushed by a four-wheeler while crossing the road. Due to which he died on the spot. At the same time, due to the border dispute between the two states, the body of the youth remained lying on the road for two and a half hours. The police also reached the spot and after seeing it went away. During this time, the family members kept pleading with the police demanding action, but the hearing was not held.

However, when the family members were forced to protest on the highway, the police immediately arrived, established the route and started action. Rahul’s father Ratan Ahirwar, resident of UP village Saura police station Mahobakanth, had left for Delhi with his bag from home on Sunday. During this time, he was crossing the road on Jhansi-Mirzapur Highway at some distance from the village, when the car crushed him. Due to which he died.

At the same time, as soon as information about the accident was received, UP Police immediately reached the spot and called an ambulance. But the said area came under Harpalpur police station area, due to which the UP Police stopped taking action and MP Police was informed. During this time, the police team of Harpalpur police station reached the spot, but refused to take the body. Harpalpur police station in-charge Pushpak Sharma argued that this area comes in UP.

In such a situation, MP Police has no role in this, whereas Mahobkanth police station in-charge Vikas Gupta directly said that whatever action has been taken in the said area before this, has been taken by Harpalpur Police. He said that on this side of the road is the UP border and on that side is the MP border. In such a situation, the place where the incident took place falls in MP limits.

This process of border dispute continued for about two and a half hours. Meanwhile, Harpalpur police also left the spot. After this, the family members started protesting by keeping the dead body on the road in the extreme cold. Then Harpalpur police came to the spot, took possession of the dead body and started action. This action was taken by Harpalpur police station in-charge Pushpak Sharma on the instructions of senior officers.
