The whole matter came into the limelight 7 months ago
In fact, the case came into the limelight 7 months ago when the Punjab Vigilance Bureau arrested Dr. Amit Bansal, a resident of Chandigarh. Amit Bansal was alleged to have misused the Adenoc-N (Buperanorphin and Naloxone) bullets given to patients through 22 private de-addiction centers and sold them illegally. In the same case, Drug Inspector Rooppreet Kaur of Ludhiana was also made a co-accused, whose arrest was then pending.
Investigation revealed that these bullets were being sold to the drug addicts instead of the people involved in the drug addicts. Thousands of bullets and about 90 thousand rupees cash were recovered from Simran Hospital and other de -addiction centers in Ludhiana during Vigilance action. After this, cases were registered at Dr. Bansal’s de -addiction centers in Jalandhar and Patiala.

ED captured many documents and digital devices
About 1.44 lakh bullets were found missing from the record during inspection at Sahaj Hospital in Nakodar in Jalandhar. During the investigation, it was revealed that Dr. Bansal also tried to suppress the matter in collusion with departmental officers and employees.
Now the ED has also shown activeness to examine the angle of money laundering in this entire case. Officials said that 4 locations in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Barnala and Mumbai have been searched on Friday. According to ED sources, several documents and digital evidence have been collected during the raid, whose investigation is on.
