The central government siege on which issues in the monsoon session of Parliament, Jairam Ramesh revealed

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said on Friday (July 18, 2025) that during the monsoon session of Parliament starting on July 21, the attackers of Pahalgam terror attack till now remain out of justice, some officials revelations on ‘Operation Sindoor’, the claims related to the mediation of US President Donald Trump and the subject of China should not be discussed at least two days and no agreement can be discussed.

Jairam Ramesh also said in an interview to PTI-language, “The opposition will also demand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi come to the House and answer on these subjects. It is the responsibility of the government, not the opposition, not the responsibility of postponing the deadlock in Parliament and running the proceedings smoothly.”

Monsoon session will run from 21 July to 21 August

It is noteworthy that the monsoon session of Parliament is starting from July 21 and a total of 21 meetings are proposed till August 21. On this, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said, “We have two main demands. This is not just the demand of the Congress, but the India alliance agrees. The issues we are talking about raising, cannot be taken back and there can be no compromise. ”

He said, “The attackers of Pahalgam terror attack have not been brought into the dock of justice even today. Three senior defense officers have made some revelations in the context of Operation Sindoor. What is the reality in this, what does the government want to say on it, what is its attitude? China is also an issue, a topic related to Trump’s claim. ”

Jairam Ramesh cited Atal Bihari Vajpayee

The Congress leader raised the question, saying, “After the Kargil War, the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee formed the Kargil review committee, which was discussed in Parliament. Will a similar analysis be done in the context of Pahalgam and Operation Sindoor?”

The issue of special voter revision in Bihar is also important- Ramesh

According to Ramesh, apart from the country’s foreign policy and the issue of security, another important issue is also a matter of special intensive revision (SIR) of the voter list released in Bihar, which is a kind of murder of democracy. He alleged that the names of millions of Dalits, tribals, backward, minorities and women are being removed from the voter list through vote ban in Bihar.

Taking a sarcasm, Ramesh said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced demonetisation on November 8, 2016, now votes are being done in Bihar.” He claimed that at the behest of ‘Sir’, the Election Commission is running a cannon on democracy and is being run by placing cannon on the commission’s shoulder. This should be discussed. All parties are worried on this subject. “

The issue of getting the status of full state to Jammu and Kashmir will arise in the monsoon session

The Congress General Secretary alleged, “The purpose of SIR is to snatch the franchise of the people.” We are not saying this. This has been said by former Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa and former Chief Election Commissioner OP Rawat. This is a conspiracy. This is being done intentionally. This is a planned strategy of our Prime Minister and Home Minister. At the same time, the issue of restoring the status of full state of Jammu and Kashmir will also arise in the monsoon session of Parliament. ”

He said, “It has never happened in political history that an entire state should be made a union territory. Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi have written a letter to the Prime Minister and demanded that the Bill should be brought to restore the state status of Jammu and Kashmir and to include Ladakh in the sixth schedule. Congress will support this. ”

Jairam Ramesh said on the unity of India alliance

Ramesh, citing the online meeting of the India alliance to be held on Saturday (July 19), said that this alliance is united. Prominent leaders of political parties will attend the meeting and they will also meet in Delhi in the coming days.

Regarding the BJP’s question on the solidarity of the opposition coalition, Ramesh said, “Why has it not been appointed as the President of BJP after Nadda Saheb. A BJP MP who gave a discourse on every subject has said that if Prime Minister Modi is not led, then the BJP will not get 150 seats. What is happening in BJP? What is happening between BJP and RSS? The people of BJP need to be worried about it. ”

He further said, “What is the stress between BJP and RSS?” What is stress in ‘number one’ and ‘November two’, what is stress in ‘Number two’ and ‘Number three’? You (BJP) worry about this. India alliance is united. ”
