Amazon retrenches hundreds of its works, cloud division impacted

American e-commerce and technology company Amazon has trimmed hundreds of workers in its cloud computing division. However, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has not been informed about the correct number of jobs. Earlier, a large number of workers were removed in Amazon.

In this regard, Amazon spokesperson said, “AWS has a difficult decision related to business to abolish certain rolls. This has affected many teams in AWS. One of these teams is called ‘Specialists’. This team works with customers to develop the new product idea and support AWS’s existing services sales. Recently, Amazon had reduced the staff in business related to his books. Amazon has targeted to increase the ratio of individual contributors and managers by 15 percent, so that bureaucracy can be reduced.

This service of Amazon can give a tough fight to Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy’s Instamart and Zepto in this segment. These three companies have a large stake in the market of Quick-commerce. These companies offer delivery in less than 15 minutes ranging from grocery to smartphones like gadgets. The general delivery service of Amazon, which holds a large stake in the e-commerce market, is delivered in the same day or a few days of the products.
