The politics of Bangladesh is once again on a boil. Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis general secretary Maulana Jalaluddin Ahmed demanded her public hanging on Friday (July 18, 2025), accusing former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of alleged massacres to remain in power. He also warned that the Awami League will no longer be allowed to root.
Speaking at a protest rally organized by the party’s Dhaka South unit after the prayers of Jumme at Betul Mukarram National Mosque, he said, “The cruelty of the Hasina government did not spare children even. Now the public wants decisive action against them.” He claimed that his party has been a part of every democratic movement for the last 16 years. He said, “Today all opposition forces including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami have come on a platform to overthrow the dictatorial regime of the Hasina government.”
Jalaluddin gave this warning
During the protest, Jalaluddin warned that the Awami League will no longer be allowed to root in any area including Gopalganj. He clearly said that if any person of the government or administration tries to obstruct this campaign, then he will not be spared.
Protest against United Nations office
Jalaluddin also protested against the proposed United Nations Office in Dhaka. He said, “No steps will be tolerated against Bangladesh’s sovereignty. If needed, we will protest the UN office on the road.”
Jalaluddin also warned opposition groups
He also warned the opposition groups that the movement would weaken the movement due to mutual discord and personal allegations and this would give only the ‘fascist forces’ to be organized again.
