Bengaluru Software Consultant And his Wife Poisoned Children And Then Die by Suicide

Bengaluru Family Suicide Case: For the last few days, cases of suicide of people are continuously coming to light. The latest case is from Bengaluru, Karnataka, where a software consultant, his wife and two children were found dead in a rented house. Police are investigating this case as murder-suicide. However, prima facie the police are considering it as a case of suicide.

The deceased were identified as 38-year-old Anoop Kumar, his 35-year-old wife Rakhi, 5-year-old daughter Anupriya and 2-year-old son Priyansh. Anup Kumar was mainly a resident of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and was working as a software consultant in Bengaluru. No suicide note was found at the scene. Police have registered the case and are investigating.

How was the matter revealed?

Actually, on Monday morning (January 06, 2025), a servant working in Anoop’s house came. When he rang the doorbell and banged loudly, but still no one opened the gate, he informed the neighbors. After this the police was informed. As soon as the police opened the door, the bodies of the entire family were found.

Anup and Rakhi fed poison to their children

According to news agency IANS, initial investigation has revealed that Anoop and Rakhi committed suicide by poisoning their children and hanging themselves. The news agency report also claimed that the husband and wife were allegedly struggling because of the health condition of their daughter. Anupriya was a child with special needs and according to the servant who worked at their house, the couple was stressed about the child.

Apart from this, the police quoted the person working at the house as saying that Anoop and Rakhi were looking happy and were planning to go to Puducherry. On Sunday (January 05, 2025), these people had also packed their belongings. Three people worked in his house, which included two cooks and a babysitter. These three people were given a salary of Rs 15 thousand per month.
