According to the information given by the officials, the accident took place at around 1:30 pm on Saturday, when the cruise ship faced a strong storm. By 2:05 pm, the ship lost contact with the authorities and later it drowned in the strong current of Halong Bay. At the time when this accident happened, there were 48 passengers in the cruise ship, of which 24 were men and 24 women. Many of these youth and children are being told.

Rescue team evacuated 11 people, many missing

Local media outlets said that most of the passengers belonged to the Vietnamese family who came to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site from the capital Hanoi. Despite heavy rains and bad weather, the rescue team took out 11 people safely from the water. However, many people are still missing, for which a large scale rescue operations are being carried out.

Prime Minister Fam Minh Sigan gave instructions for investigation

The Prime Minister Fam Minh Signs expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased and have given guidelines to investigate the accident in depth. Halong Bay is a major tourist destination in Vietnam. A total of more than 40 lakh tourists came from Vietnam and different countries around the world. The Meteorological Department has said that the Wifa storm will hit the northern region of Vietnam, including the coast of Halong Bay next week.
