Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov said that Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is ready to hold peace talks with Ukraine. But Russia is committed to fulfill its main objective.
He said, “President Putin has expressed a desire to find a resolution of the agreement with Ukraine as soon as possible and peacefully. However, this is a long process, it needs to work hard. It is not so easy. But our goals are completely clear and we have the biggest purpose for us to achieve our goals.”

Russia took steps after a new round of talks
The move by Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has been taken at a time when a new round of talks were proposed next week after the peace talks stopped in early June last month.
News agency AFP quoted Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky as saying that security council secretary Umrov has said that the next conversation with the Russian side has been proposed next week regarding peace talks. With this, he insisted on intensifying the round of talks.
US President threatened Russia last week
At the same time, US President Donald Trump started sending new and additional weapons support for Ukraine on last Monday (July 14, 2025). Apart from this, Trump also threatened Russia that if Moscow is not ready for a peace agreement with Ukraine in the next 50 days, Russia would also ban those who buy exports.
