Firing between security forces and terrorists in Kishtwar, search operation continues at many locations

An encounter between terrorists and security forces took place on Sunday (July 20, 2025) in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, the police and the Indian Army conducted a search operation in Khanku, located between Dachhan and Nagaseni, a wild area of Kishtwar, during which some terrorists started firing. This campaign was launched keeping in view the intelligence of the presence of terrorists.

According to officials, the terrorists opened fire on seeing the security forces, in which the action was also firing from the security forces. However, no one has been reported injured so far. More security forces have been sent to the area, so that the terrorists can be found and eliminated.

White night core posts on ‘X’

Posting on the social media account ‘X’, the White Night Corps in Jammu wrote, ‘Based on specific information, the Indian Army launched a campaign in Hadal Gal area of Kishtwar region. In contact with terrorists has been established and the campaign is still going on.

Security forces are searching 10 locations

Let us know that since Friday, counter-intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit is conducting a search operation in four districts of Kashmir Valley, in which 10 locations are being investigated. According to reports, Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Abdullah Ghazi’s sleeper sales and network are active in some areas of the Kashmir Valley from across the border, for which security personnel are conducting a search operation to search.

Firing has also been done in this area first

Earlier too, on 02 July 2025 in Kanjal Mandu area of Kishtwar district, the security forces started a wide search operation after getting information about the hiding of some terrorists and during this time they conducted ‘search and distroi’ operation. During this campaign at around 8 am, there was some firing between the security forces and the terrorists, after which the firing stopped.
