Punjab Grenade Attacks Case – Grenade Attack on Police Post in Punjab -Haryana: 3 terrorists of BKI arrested, PAK was getting funding – Three Babbar Khalsa International Operative Operatives

The Punjab Police has arrested three operatives of the terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). They are accused of carrying out grenade attacks on two police posts in Patiala in Punjab and Azimgarh in Haryana. The police have also recovered two grenades and two pistols from them. Police investigation has revealed that these terrorists were working at the behest of ISI and BKI handlers.

Punjab Police Director General Gaurav Yadav said that these attacks were fully planned and directed. The accused were involved in grenade attacks on police posts located in Badshahpur, Patiala on 1 April 2025 and on 6 April 2025 in Azimgarh, Haryana. In both these cases, the joint team of Counter Intelligence, State Special Campaign Cell and Mohali took action and caught the three terrorists.

The DGP said that the arrested terrorists confessed during interrogation that they were in direct contact with Babbar Khalsa International Terrorist Manu Agwan and Malaysia, who were sitting in Greece, and Maninder Billa, who was active in Malaysia. Not only this, the entire network was operating in the active support of Pakistan -based terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda and ISI. The terrorists were continuously getting logistic support, weapons and funding from abroad.

What was the purpose of attack on police post

The purpose of this module was to spread fear and disturbance at police establishments. Police officials said that the arrested terrorists were preparing to target more police bases in Punjab. But demolishing this module in time is considered a big security success. The DGP said that this network had reached a very dangerous level. There were many more attacks ahead.

Babbar Khalsa is a banned terrorist organization

The police have registered a case in this case in the State Special Campaign Cell, Mohali. Initially, digital devices, fund trails, and social media chats are being investigated with the three accused arrested. Efforts have also started to reach the bosses sitting in Pakistan and abroad through this investigation. Babbar Khalsa International has been declared a banned terrorist organization in India.
