The monsoon session of Parliament is scheduled to begin on Monday (July 21, 2025). A day before this, on Sunday (July 20, 2025), the government called an all -party meeting, in which the opposition made it clear that the upcoming monsoon session could be quite uproar. By the way, during this meeting, the opposition mentioned many issues. Among these, issues such as Pahalgam terror attack, statement of US President Donald Trump for stopping Operation vermilion, criticism of foreign policy and SIR process dispute in Bihar were prominent issues.
During the meeting, different political parties made it clear that they demand that during this session information should be kept in front of the House about the Pahalgam terror attack on behalf of the government. It should also be told that what action has been taken in this case so far and those who were involved in the terrorist attack, why could they not be caught.
Government gives answers regarding intelligence failure
During the meeting, Samajwadi Party MP Prof. Ram Gopal Yadav, referring to the intelligence lapse from LG Manoj Sinha, said that when the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir has said in his statement that the attack in Pahalgam has an intelligence failure. Then the government should clear the picture in the House on this issue.
Debate about stopping ‘Operation Sindoor’
The opposition is also demanding clarification from the government regarding the statement of US President Donald Trump to stop ‘Operation Sindoor’. Referring to the claim of the US President, MPs of other political parties including the Samajwadi Party and the Aam Aadmi Party asked that what is the truth of what the US President is repeatedly talking about stopping the war?
During the all -party meeting, opposition MPs have also made it clear that they will also seek answers from the government regarding the foreign policy of the Modi government during the upcoming monsoon session. During the meeting, opposition MPs said that foreign policy fails due to lack of international support on Operation Sindoor and Pahalgam attacks.
Preparations to surround the government on Bihar issue
Along with this, the opposition has made full preparations to surround the government regarding the ongoing voter list verification process in Bihar. The opposition is constantly aggressive saying that the Election Commission has conspired to remove millions of crores of names and efforts are being made to take away the rights of voters.
Appeal for cooperation of all parties in all -party meeting
The all -party meeting was chaired by JP Nadda. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, who was present during the meeting, appealed to all the parties for cooperation and said, ‘We will give full time to all the parties to speak and all the issues will be decided in BAC as per the rules. However, the government is ready to discuss all the issues according to the rules.
