Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from his post. He has taken this decision to prioritize health and follow medical advice. His resignation has come into force under Article 67 (a) of the Constitution with immediate effect.
In his resignation, he described working with President Draupadi Murmu as a pleasant experience and thanked him for his continuous cooperation. He also thanked for the cooperation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Council of Ministers. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said in his letter that the support from the Prime Minister gave him an opportunity to learn a lot.

Letter written to President Draupadi Murmu
Dhankhar described the trust, affection and belonging to all the MPs as memorable and said that it will always be in their heart. He described his experience as Vice President as invaluable and said that this experience was very important in India’s democracy.
Reason for health needs
Dhankhar described India’s economic progress and amazing development as a proud journey and said that it has been an honor for him to serve in this historic time. Leaving the post, he expressed full confidence in India’s bright future and said that India’s global stature is growing rapidly.
