The Indian cricket team is struggling with the problem of injury on England tour. Some star players of the team have been injured. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given updates about this. The BCCI has issued a release stating that all -rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests due to left knee injury. Nitish Reddy will return home and the team wishes for him to recover soon.

The BCCI said in its release that left -arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has been out of the fourth Test match against England in Manchester. Arshdeep Singh suffered an injury to the left thumb while bowling on the nets during a training session in Bekenham. BCCI medical team is monitoring the progress of Arshdeep Singh.

The BCCI release states that the Mains selection panel has included the right -hand fast bowler Anshul Kamboj in the team. Comboj has joined the Indian team in Manchester. The Manchester Test will begin on July 23, 2025 i.e. Wednesday. The Indian team is behind 1-2 in the five-match Test series, so this match is very important for it.

What is the update about Pant-Akash?
However, some updates have not been shared by BCCI about Akash Deep and Rishabh Pant. Right -arm fast bowler Akash Deep Grin is struggling with injury and his playing in Manchester Test is doubtful. While the vice-captain and wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is recovering with injury in the index finger of the left hand.

The injury was taken to Rishabh Pant during the Lord’s Test match while the ball of Jasprit Bumrah. There is a possibility that Pant will play as a specialist batsman in the Manchester Test match, while Dhruv Jurlel can be included in the playing-11 as a wicket.
