Iran, Britain, France and Germany are about to hold nuclear talks in Istanbul on Friday. According to Reuters, this information was given by a spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday. The three European countries have warned that Iran will again be imposed international sanctions if the talks are not resumed.
The Iranian government media quoted Esmail Baghai as saying, “The meeting between Iran, Britain, France and Germany will be held at the up-foreign ministerial level.”
Who will be involved in nuclear dialogue?
The talks to be held on Friday are being held on Thursday after the first conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi by Foreign Ministers of three countries of Europe and the European Union Foreign Policy Head. The conversation took place a month ago after the attack on Iranian nuclear installations by Israel and the US.
Along with China and Russia, these three European countries are the remaining aspects of the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, which removed the US in 2018. Under this agreement, restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program were lifted in exchange for restrictions.
Aragachi said at the beginning of this week, “If the EU and the three European countries want to play their role, they should work responsibly and leave the rigorous policies of threats and pressure, for which they do not have any moral and legal basis for all.”
