Annoyed by the working style of the electricity department in Saharanpur, UP, BJP MLA Rajiv Gumbar fiercely reprimanded the officials. In fact, during a meeting at the Circuit House, the matter of pillars standing on the middle road in Raiwala market, the department officials said- ‘There is no budget, money will have to be deposited.’
What happened after this was worth seeing. MLA Rajiv Gumbar took out the entire 50 thousand rupees from his pocket on the spot and said to the officials- ‘Here… if you want money for the work of public interest, then I give… Now show it by working.’

Let us tell you that during the review meeting of the Energy Department at Circuit House, Saharanpur, city MLA Rajiv Gumbar raised a sharp objection to the functioning of the department. At the meeting, MLA Gambar directly surrounded the officers. He said that due to two electric poles standing on the middle road in Raiwala market, there is a jam at all times. Not only this, the MLA expressed deep displeasure even after the power supply of Shakambhari Vihar area was from the rural feeder. He said that it has been many years since the city assembly delimitation, but in urban areas, the rural feeder is still being supplied, which is completely wrong.

– Demand to remove waste electric poles in Indira Colony and Tagore Garden of Paper Mill Road.

– Despite the funds deposited at Parrot Chowk, the issue of not removed transformer.
– Repeated power cuts at Jain Bagh power station were also raised prominently in the meeting.
The MLA gave a clear message to the electricity department that negligence in public interest will not be tolerated. He gave clear instructions to the officials that all pending works should be completed as soon as possible, otherwise a big movement will be done with the public.
