Controversial rhetoric was seen in the capital before the Delhi Assembly elections. BJP candidate from Kalkaji assembly seat Ramesh Bidhuri said controversial things one after the other yesterday. He also made derogatory statements about Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and said, “Atishi has changed her own father.” He did not stop at this and further described his father as a supporter of Afzal Guru. Today CM became emotional regarding his statement. Now BJP has also given clarification on Bidhuri’s statement.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor has said that all political leaders should avoid personal, gender related or family related comments, especially against the family of the Delhi Chief Minister. He said that while talking about an apology from former MP Ramesh Bidhuri, Atishi Marlena herself should consider the issue.
As a person or an elder we all respect Atishi Marlena’s father, but since Marlena is a Chief Minister, the people of Delhi want her to once come in front of everyone and condemn her father’s support of Afzal Guru or his Justify the act.

What did Atishi say on Ramesh Bidhuri’s statement?
On Ramesh Vidhuri’s statement, CM Atishi said in a press conference today, “I would like to tell Ramesh Vidhuri that my father was a teacher all his life. He taught thousands of poor children. Today he is 80 years old.” Atishi became emotional and further said, “Bidhuri should ask for votes for his work. He is abusing my father and asking for votes. This is very sad.”

Atishi said, “BJP is an anti-women party, it is scary that the law and order problem in Delhi is under the BJP government. If BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri makes such indecent remarks then how will the party make women feel safe? Not only Kalkaji. , I am sure that all the voters of Delhi will give a befitting reply to the statement given by Ramesh Bidhuri.”
