1. 6 cases of Chinese virus like Corona in India; 2 children each in Karnataka-Tamil Nadu and one child each in Bengal and Gujarat were found infected.

Many videos from China are going viral on social media. It is being claimed that this crowd is of people infected with HMPV virus.

6 cases of HMPV, a corona-like virus spread in China, were found in India. Two children each in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, while one child each in Bengal and Gujarat have been infected with Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV). The age of all the children is between 3 to 8 months. HMPV is affecting small children more. Regarding this, Health Minister JP Nadda said-

Experts have said that HMPV is not a new virus. It was first identified in 2001. After this it spread in the world. It spreads through breathing, spreads through the air. It affects people of all age groups. WHO is monitoring the situation and will share the report with us soon.

2. Delhi CM Atishi cried in the press conference; Said- BJP leader abused my father

Atishi said that Ramesh Bidhuri is asking for votes by abusing an elderly person.

Delhi CM Atishi cried during the press conference. He said, ‘BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri is abusing my 80 year old father. Will you do such dirty politics for elections? BJP candidate from Kalkaji seat of Delhi, Ramesh Bidhuri had said, ‘Atishi has changed her father. She has become a lion from Marlena. BJP has given ticket to Bidhuri against Atishi from Kalkaji.

BJP leader distributed money among women in Delhi: BJP candidate from New Delhi Assembly seat, Parvesh Verma again distributed money among women. When opposition parties raised questions on this, they said that Delhi Assembly elections have not been announced yet. There is nothing wrong in helping someone, he said. According to reports, Pravesh Verma has distributed Rs 1100-1100 among the women.

Congress’s announcement – will give ₹2500 every month to women: Congress announces ‘Pyaari Didi Scheme’ for Delhi women. 3. Domestic veg thali price increased by 6% in December; Non-veg thali becomes costlier by 12% on annual basis Domestic veg and non-veg thali have become expensive in the country. The price of domestic veg thali has increased by 6% to Rs 31.60 in December. The price in December 2023 was Rs 29.70. At the same time, the price of non-veg thali increased by 12% on annual basis to Rs 63.30 in December. The price of non-veg thali in December 2023 was Rs 56.40. Capital market company CRISIL has given this information in its monthly indicator.

Price of potato and tomato increased the price of veg thali: According to CRISIL report, the price of veg thali has increased due to increase in the prices of potatoes and tomatoes. Potatoes and tomatoes account for 24% of the veg thali cost. Potato prices have increased by 50% and tomato prices by 24% on an annual basis. 4. Naxalite attack in Chhattisgarh, 8 soldiers martyred; The blast left a 10 feet deep crater on the road.

Naxalites blasted IED near Ambeli village, about 40 kilometers from Bijapur headquarters. Some parts of the vehicle were found 30 feet away on a tree at a height of 25 feet.

In Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, Naxalites blasted the vehicle carrying soldiers. 8 Dantewada District Reserve Guard (DRG) soldiers were martyred in the attack. A driver also died. The team of soldiers was returning from Bijapur after completing a joint operation, when the Naxalites blasted the IED. Due to this, there was a pothole about 10 feet deep on the road. After the blast, the bodies of the soldiers were found in mutilated condition.

China said- India will not suffer any loss by building a dam on Brahmaputra; India had objected to the hydropower project China responded to India’s objection to building a dam on the Brahmaputra River in Tibet. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Yakun said, ‘Building a dam on Yarlung Tsangpo i.e. Brahmaputra will not affect the water flow of India or Bangladesh. A complete scientific review of this project has been done. This will not cause any harm to the eco system.

Why is India opposing the dam: The dam to be built on the Brahmaputra River will be built in the vast valley of the Himalayas at the eastern end of the Tibet Plateau. Earthquakes occur frequently in this area. Construction of the dam may put pressure on the ecosystem. For this reason India is opposing the dam.

How will China benefit from the construction of the dam: Last month, China had approved a hydropower project on the Brahmaputra river. Under this, the world’s largest dam is being built on Brahmaputra, on which about Rs 12 lakh crore will be spent. China wants to generate 300 billion units of electricity annually from here. 6. BPSC Candidates Protest: Prashant Kishor granted bail, arrested at 4 am during dharna

Prashant Kishor was protesting at Gandhi Maidan in Patna since January 2 against irregularities in Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC).

Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore (PK), who was on hunger strike, was arrested by Patna Police at 4 am. However, PK got bail 15 hours after his arrest. Students were protesting at Gandhi Maidan in Patna demanding cancellation of BPSC 70th preliminary examination. Prashant was also on fast since January 2 in support of the students.

7. Resignation of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau; Will remain in office until a successor is found

Justin Trudeau addressed the nation, announcing his resignation.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau resigned from the post. He also left the post of leader of the Liberal Party. Trudeau said, ‘If I have to fight at home, I will not be the best choice in the coming elections.’ Trudeau will remain in office as Prime Minister until his successor is chosen. The tenure of his government was till October. After the resignation, elections can be held soon. He was the Prime Minister of the country since November 2015.

Reason for Trudeau’s resignation: Trudeau was under pressure from his Liberal Party MPs to step down for several months. Canada’s Deputy PM and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigned from the post on December 16.
