Dharmasthala Massacre Site Number 6 Land Excavation: Human skeletons finally came out from the land of Dharmasthala. After the failure of two days and five places, when the excavation was done on site number 6 on the third day, the remains of human skeletons were found from there.

The forensic team took those bones in their possession. At present, excavation work was done at a total of 13 places in the first phase. According to the complainant and masked former sweeper of this case, one of these places is such that most of the dead bodies have been buried. This case and claim are now becoming serious.

29 July 2025, Dharmasthala
First day of excavation. On Tuesday 29 July, excavation begins at a place on the banks of the Netravati river in Dharmasthala. Between 1995 and 2014, the first excavation started on Site No.1 on the spot of the cleaning worker covered in the mask which claims to be burying hundreds of corpses in a 5 to 6 km radius around Dharmasthala with his hands. Following the statement of this cleaning worker, the SIT identified a total of 13 such places in the first installment. But on the first day of the excavation, on July 29, there was no corpse, skeleton or human bones despite digging a pit for about 6 hours and digging a pit.

30 July 2025, Dharmasthala
Second day of excavation. After the first day’s failure, the SIT started excavation work of site number 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the second day. Deep pits were dug from 12 to 15 feet. But the second day also failed. The SIT did not find any corpse, skeleton or human bones. However, during the excavation from site number 2, a cracked blouse, a PAN card and an ATM card were definitely found in a depth of two and a half feet. One of these cards was of a man, while the other was of a woman named Lakshmi. A woman named Lakshmi, who is close to Dharmasthala, died in 2009. But there is no mention of it in the police records. Was it the same Lakshmi? At present, it will be known only in further investigation. Apart from site number 2, nothing was found from 3, 4 and 5.

31 July 2025, Dharmasthala
Third day of excavation. Two days had passed. Despite the excavation at the first five places by the cleaning worker, there was no evidence of any corpse. On Thursday morning, 31 July, the SIT team reached the banks of the Netravati river again. The sixth place or the sixth site was spotted by the complainant cleaning worker. On the third day also, the SIT team starts digging on site number 6 with forensic team, medical team and laborers. After the failure of the first five excavations, now gradually questions had started to be raised on the claim of the complainant cleaning worker. Amidst the same questions, the work of excavation for the third day begins. It was also raining after stopping. Due to rain, water was also filling in the pit. Water pump was also being used to extract water from the pit. Gradually the pit was getting deeper. And then then…

Bones out of the pit
After the first two days of failure, some remains of the skeleton i.e. human bones are seen in the first excavation on the third day i.e. from site number 6. Immediately the workers stop their hand. The shovel and other tools are placed on the edge. The forensic team present on the spot takes out those bones out of the pit with full protection.

The danger of destruction of evidence
In fact, due to wet soil and being on the banks of the Netravati river, the forensic team believed that if the remains of the skeleton or human bones would be found from here, then their condition will be worse. In such a situation, there was a danger of those evidence being destroyed during excavation from JCB or other machines. JCB or other machines were mostly used for upper excavation on the instruction of the forensic team. The forensic team’s effort from the beginning was that it took time to excavate, but only laborers with small tools to excavate.

Bones kept safe in box
But as soon as the remains of the skeletal were seen for the first time, the workers were also stopped from using the tools. So that already bad bones do not suffer further damage. After this, on the instructions of the forensic team, the workers were slowly removing the surrounding soil with their hands. Later, the forensic team takes the bones recovered from the spot and put it in a safe box.

Bones investigation will be revealed
After the first five failures, finally, according to the claim of the complainant cleaning worker, for the first time, for the first time, a few bones come out in the shape of human skeleton. The condition of the skeletal residue or bones recovered from site number 6 was extremely bad. According to SIT sources, according to the forensic experts present on the spot, this remains of the skeleton seems to be of a mail. However, only after forensic investigation, it will be clear whether these bones belong to the man or the woman. After forensic investigation, it will also be known that whoever has these bones must have been his age at that time and will it have been height?

How will SIT bring out the truth of corpses
After the recovery of these bones from site number 6, the SIT immediately decides to dig around it. Along with excavation, soil samples of this place are also taken. As soon as the bones are recovered, the dog squad is also called on the spot. Since the place where these skeletal remains have been found, the same place was identified by the complainant cleaning worker, on the third day of excavation, the SIT also started to trust his claim for the first time. However, only the recovery of bones does not approve his claim. First of all, forensic experts have to prove that these bones are truly human. No animal.

Identification challenge
Once it is proved that these bones are of humans, then the second challenge will be that the person who is dead is correctly identified and it is possible only when his DNA is matched to the family, the family of which someone who has been mysteriously killed or has been mysteriously missing for years. For this, it is necessary that such complainants should come forward in maximum number and contact the police.

SIT appeals to people
The SIT itself realizes this challenge. That is why the SIT issued a statement after getting red colored blouse, ATM and PAN card during the excavation on Wednesday. In this statement, people have been appealed that they can reach the SIT office with their complaints. At present, the SIT has maintained its office in a government guest house in Mallikatte, Mangalore. The SIT has said in the statement that anyone can come to this office from 10 am to 5 pm in this office. Not only this, the SIT has also given its WhatsApp number, telephone number and email ID to file a complaint.

Complaint can be made here
Complainants can file their complaint by taking Whats app on 82779-86369 to SIT. Apart from this, you can also tell your complaint by calling telephone number 08242005301. Those who want to send their complaint by email can mail sitdps@ksp.gov.in.

Preparation for the use of ground penitrating radar (GPR)
The SIT is also thinking of using the ground peniting radar i.e. GPR or Mountain radar system for search operation of other places after receiving the residue of the skeleton from site 6 at the behest of the former sanitation worker. So that the burial truth inside the ground can be known and can help in digging accordingly. However, due to wet soil and continuous rains, it can be difficult to get a clean signal ie clean signal. The final decision on the use of radar technology is expected to be taken by Thursday or Friday.

Most of the dead bodies buried in site number 13
The complainant cleaning worker has marked a total of 13 such places in the first installment, where the corpses were buried accordingly. According to the claim of the cleaning worker, a total of 8 corpses were buried in site number 6 and 7. For the first time, the remains of the skeleton have been found from site number 6 only. Excavation of site number 7 is still pending. However, according to the list given to the SIT by the cleaning worker, 2 to 9 corpses were buried in the first 12 sites. It claims that the mass that has happened, that is, where most of the dead bodies have been buried, that is site number 13. The dead bodies that have been buried in site number 1 to 13, their count is something like this.

Where many dead bodies are buried?
According to the claim of the former cleaning worker, a total of two corpses were buried at site number one. Two corpses on site number two. Two corpses on site number three also. While six corpses on site number four and five. Site number six, seven and eight corpses on eight. Six to seven corpses on site number nine. Three corpses on site number 10. Nine corpses on site number 11. Four to five corpses on site number 12. While the most corpses have been buried on site number 13. That is, mass bariyal has happened in site number 13.

When is the excavation on the site of Mass Bariyal?
According to what he has told in the interrogation of the SIT after the statement given to the police of the cleaning worker and the statements made before the magistrate, he has marked more than 50 such places where the corpses are buried. Out of those 50 places, four to five are the places where the mass is bariyal. That is, most of the dead bodies have been buried in those places. According to this claim, it is difficult to complete this excavation work before a month. Anyway, the excavation that has been excavated in the first three days so far, there has been talk of burying two, four, six corpses at one place. In the places where the mass is done, the excavation work has not started yet. Mass Bariyal’s first site, site number 13. It is expected that in the next 24 to 48 hours, the work of excavation of site number 13 i.e. first month barial space starts.

Excavation work is going to be difficult
The first three days of excavation is taking place around the Netravati river. While the place of burial of corpses by the cleaning worker, the entire area is spread within a radius of five to six kilometers. One of these large areas comes from Reserve Forest. Where the excavation work is going to be the most difficult. But the way the first proof of human skeleton from site number 6 has come out of the ground, then every excavation in the coming days will be an eye on everyone.

News of human remains found on many site!
Meanwhile, some RTI activists and NGOs working in Dharmasthala have claimed after the first three days of excavation that the SIT has found some evidence of the site that has been excavated so far on the spot of the complainant cleaning worker. He claims that the remains of skeletons and human bones have been found from site number 1 to site number 5. But the SIT is currently silent on these evidences, so that forensic reports of these bones come first. These RTI activists and NGOs, who have been closely eyeing the works of SIT, claim that what the complainant cleaning worker has said about the corpses is true. And soon this truth will be in front of the whole country.
