Who is Nimisha Priya?

38 -year -old Nimisha Priya hails from Palakkad district of Kerala and went to Yemen for better employment in 2008. Apart from being a trained nurse, he started a clinic in Sana city in partnership with Yemen’s citizen Talal Abdo Mahadi.

According to reports, during this time, Mahdi started harassing her, started calling herself her husband and seized her passport, so that she could not return to India.

In an attempt to withdraw the passport in 2017, he tried to make Mahdi unconscious, but died due to overdose. He was then arrested on charges of murder and convicted in 2018. He was sentenced to death by the Yemen court in 2020.
